A 750 tonne capacity Liebherr LR 1750 lattice boom crawler crane has joined the fleet of Italian crane and transport company Fratelli Paradiso.

The used crane was bought from Liebherr for wind turbine erection and maintenance work. Michele Paradiso, Fratelli Paradiso co-owner, took delivery of the LR 1750 at the factory in Ehingen, Germany.

Paradiso said, “We have decided to purchase the used lattice boom crawler crane LR 1750, because we already operate a lattice boom mobile crane LG 1750 successfully, with very good experiences, in our fleet.” Attachments and accessories can be shared between the two cranes, Paradiso explained, “According to requirements on the construction site, we can supply the most suitable crane - on crawlers or wheels.”

The LR 1750 is the largest crawler crane in the company’s fleet and will be used where there is a requirement to travel with a load whereas the LG 1750 will work in industrial applications where no moving is required, Paradiso said.

Vito Paradiso started Fratelli Paradiso in 1967. It is now run by the second generation, Michele, Francesca and Silvia Paradiso. They operate 25 cranes in Canosa di Puglia and employ 50 people.
