As part of its stand, the company says it will highlight its role in the move towards a “cleaner, low-emission future for construction and rental equipment,” part of which will see it showcase its range of JCB E-TECH electric machinery, which includes the JCB 19C-1E - the world’s first electric mini excavator.

The machine offers zero exhaust emissions at point of use and is said to be quieter than a standard machine.

Four lithium-ion batteries provide 20kWh of energy storage – enough for full working shift for the majority of mini excavator customers on a single charge.

IRE takes place in Maastricht, The Netherlands, on 6 to 8 June alongside the APEX exhibition and ERA Convention.
