M Joyce Crane Hire's new Liebherr LG1750

M Joyce Crane Hire has become the owner of the first 750 tonne capacity Liebherr LG 1750 lattice boom wheeled mobile crane in Australia.

The crane has a maximum height under hook of 191 metres. Based in Western Australia, M Joyce, ordered the unit with full boom, luffing jib, and derrick boom. The main areas of operation will be the mining sector, as well as assembly and overhaul in the oil and gas industry.

The LG 1750 was launched at Bauma 2004 and is still the most powerful lattice boom mobile crane in the world, said its manufacturer. The concept combines the flexibility of a powerful crawler crane with the mobility of an all terrain crane. The active rear-axle steering is designed to make the compact chassis flexible and economical, Liebherr said.

M Joyce Crane Hire has a 50-strong workforce and a fleet of 15 Liebherr mobile cranes. They range from a 30 tonne capacity LTM 1030/2 all terrain to a 400 tonne capacity LTM 1400-7.1 telescopic boom wheeled mobile crane.
