New Zealand-based rental company Hirepool has expanded its network of depots with the addition of a new branch in Silverdale in Auckland’s northern region.

The 2,500m2 site, which was acquired early in December, will specialise in the rental of heavy construction equipment, including large excavators and compaction machines, along with power generators and access equipment.

As the latest addition to Hirepool’s 70-strong network of depots across New Zealand, the new facility will serve the infrastructure industry in the area.

The company’s CEO Brian Stephen said, “We already have a significant rental business in the Auckland region. However, we are always looking for improvements in how we can serve our customers.

“With the urban drift north of Auckland, the construction of infrastructure projects such as the Puhoi to Warkworth motorway and the increased residential population in general, we felt the time was right to invest in a hub branch in the north.

“With a location like this, we will be in a better position to respond quicker to our customer’s needs.”

The depot will be fully up-and-running at the start of January, 2020.

Hirepool’s existing Silverdale site will remain open.
