Drug testing and how compliance creates opportunity

By Laura Hatton03 June 2013

Over the past 36-plus years workplace drug testing in the USA has evolved into a patchwork of more than 600 state laws and regulations and more than 10,000 court cases. Employers who fail to comply with these state rules may subject themselves to judgments totalling near US$1 million and personal judgments for supervisors involved.

But, as onerous as this may seem there is also an opportunity in compliance. In nearly half the states financial opportunities exist, provided that drug test programmes comply with state rules. Bill Judge, FightReady co-founder, will discuss what the risks are and how to take advantage of these financial opportunities in an upcoming SC&RA webinar. The presentation will last an hour.

The webinar will be on 20 June at 12 Noon US Eastern Time. It is free for SC&RA members and $49 for non-members. Register at: https://www2.scranet.org/core/events/events.aspx or www.scranet.org
