Haulotte is launching a new 26m articulated boom, Access International can exclusively reveal.

The HA26 RTJ Pro builds on the same design as the manufacturer’s existing HA16 and HA20 ranges, with innovations such as the Avtiv’Lighting and the Stop Emission Systems.

The new machine has a working height of 26.4m, up-and-over clearance of 9.3m and a 17.5m horizontal outreach.

Rough terrain capabilities are provided by an oscillating axle; hydraulic differential wheel lock; high ground clearance; a smaller turning radius and frame designed to manoeuvre in confined spaces; as well as a 45% gradeability.

Attention was focused on providing smooth and flexible movements for the boom, with three elements creating more safety and comfort: boom rigidity; regulated boom kinematics from the built-in computer; and automatic damping of the ramp motion when approaching full extension.

For enhanced visibility, the jib can be raised to a vertical position even when the machine is moving at full speed.

The platform and cover hoods consist of easily dismantled components. In the event of wear, the damaged part can be replaced rather than the entire unit.

Systems

The Stop Emission System stops and restarts the engine automatically while operators are working at height to reduce unnecessary and costly run time of the engine and hour metre.  The system reduces use of the engine and peripheral components by up to 20%, decreasing fuel consumption, lowering operating costs and noise levels and increasing residual value.

To simplify loading and unloading, Haulotte has developed the unique Activ’Lighting System-Safe Load. Lights are integrated into several points around the machine to illuminate the controls and area around the boom.

The machine also includes the company’s new generation secondary guarding system. The Activ’Shield Bar 2.0. is fully incorporated into the upper control protection for better ergonomics and enhanced robustness.  The push forward principle bar provides a ‘safety gap’, meaning workers are protected from any risk of crushing without compromising productivity.

The HA26 range is also equipped with the Activ’Screen on-board diagnostic system, a comprehensive tool that provides access to malfunction details and corrective procedure; machine settings; maintenance alerts and service intervals; and modifications of general settings, such as interface language and units of measurement.

For fleet management the HA26 range is equipped with a universal telematics connector as standard. It adapts to any type of telematic system and allows the operator to quickly connect their own telematics devices to the Haulotte machines.

Options

Dual Load Capacity is available as an option. Due to machine weight limits, users cannot always load all of their equipment at once, therefore the HA26 range addresses this issue by offering a 250kg/350kg dual load capacity. In 350kg mode, the platform can accommodate an extra 40% of equipment weight.

Optional equipment also includes glazier kit, plumbing kit, platform air line, working light, non-marking tyres, lateral swing door, hydraulic generator, hostile environment kit, among others.
