A-Plant spends £30 million on new equipment.

UK rental company, A-Plant, has placed new equipment orders worth over £30 million. New products for the powered access fleet include 170 scissor platforms from Skyjack ranging from 19 ft (5.8 m)to 50 ft (15.2 m) and worth £3 million and over 300 booms and scissors from JLG costing £6.5million.

Other new equipment will come from a range of manufacturers including Terex, JCB, Doosan Infracore Portable Power (formerly Ingersoll Rand Utility Equipment), GenSet, and Ausa. The JCB order includes a wide range of telehandler models covering lifting heights from 5 to 17m.

Sat Dhaiwal, Chief Executive Officer of A-Plant, said: "To ensure that we have one of the youngest fleets of equipment in the industry, we are maintaining a very high level of investment. The new investment matches the developments we have made in the sales and service operations at A-Plant, all of which are aimed at optimising our offer to customers, both at a local level and in national accounts."

A-Plant has 30000 customers in the construction and industrial markets with a fleet that consists of over 110000 items of plant, tools and specialist equipment available for hire.
