Access Access - a new way to find the right machine

25 August 2009

A new web-based equipment selection tool has been launched by Robert Stanwyck, hire manager of UK rental company London Tower Service. Access Access is a separate business from London Tower Service and allows hire desks and end users to search the database for a particular machine or machine type and find out who can rent in to them.

It costs rental companies £10 a month (£120 a year) to be included on the database and it is free to users. In the current climate Mr Stanwyck anticipates it being most useful for those searching for the more niche equipment not carried by every rental company. As the market picks up companies may use it to search for additional capacity.

Mr Stanwyck says, "I have started promoting this system across the industry, and have been getting some great feedback from hire controllers already using the system. I am still the hire manager for London Tower Service and use the system everyday."

It's early stages for Access Access but Mr Stanwyck sees no reason that he shouldn't expand the database outside the UK in the future. Visit the site yourself at www.accessaccess.com .
