Enrique Garcia Delgado will lead Ahern Iberica.

Ahern International is expanding its reach with the opening of Ahern Iberica.

Servicing customers in Spain, Ahern Iberica will provide sales, service and spare parts of Snorkel lifts from its base in Madrid. The company is currently securing premises and recruiting a team and is scheduled to open its doors for business in June 2019.

Leading the new division will be Enrique Garcia Delgado, who is transitioning from his current role as regional sales director – Europe for Snorkel, to become the managing director of Ahern Iberica. Garcia Delgado has more than 17 years of experience in the access industry, having held positions in both sales and technical service. His qualifications include a Global Executive MBA from IE Business School, a Master of International Trade and Negotiation Skills from IMAFE and a BSc (hons) in Mechanical Engineering from the Polytechnic University – ETSIIM, all located in Madrid, Spain.

Matthew Elvin, CEO, Snorkel said, “The decision to launch Ahern Iberica will enable us to better support our customer base in Spain, with faster access to new product inventory, spare parts and a wider field service network. Enrique has a significant knowledge of this market, and is the right person to build upon the foundations that we have in place already, ensuring that we deliver the very best in customer support.”

“Enrique has done an incredible job during his time at Snorkel building our European sales footprint, and I am confident that he will flourish in his new role with full scope to utilize his extensive experience. I also believe that the planned expansion to our European sales team will enable us to further develop our customer support channels, including our independent distributor network, in these specific regions.”

Garcia Delgado added, “I am really looking forward to the new challenges ahead leading Ahern Iberica. While I will certainly miss working with our valued customers and dealers Europe-wide, I believe we can truly deliver an industry-leading service to our Spanish customers through this new dedicated entity.
