Terex cites the crane’s versatility and manoeuvrability as being key reasons why Aoki Juki wanted a third model. To meet Japanese regulations, Terex modified the existing AC 700-9 into an eight-axle chassis with quick assembly and disassembly of the boom and superstructure.

Aoki Juki was established in 1954 and employs 80 people. It specialises in laying railway tracks, constructing and dismantling bridges, as well as transporting and handling heavy goods.
