Award winner gains friends in high places

Award winning contractor Mainline Demolition’s success at the 2018 World Demolition Summit in Dublin has been noticed in the corridors of power back in its native Australia.
The company claimed first prize in the Civils category of the World Demolition Awards for its work replacing the Old Mandurah Traffic Bridge in Western Australia alongside construction specialist the Georgiou Group.
And having secured the approval of its peers in the industry, Mainline has now received government recognition for its global achievement.
The Hon Rita Saffioti MLA – minister for transport in the state’s legislative assembly – sent a letter of congratulations to Mainline, saying: “It is pleasing to see Western Australia represented on the world stage and is clear recognition of the excellent job done by Mainline Demolition and Georgiou Group on the demolition, removal and remediation of the Old Mandurah Traffic Bridge in city of Mandurah.”
Company founder Robert Moltoni said he was delighted that “the World Demolition Award is still winning us friends”.
Mainline closed 2018 by becoming a member of the European Demolition Association (EDA).
Despite its title, the EDA welcomes new members from all parts of the world and Mainline follows South African contractor Jet Demolition, which joined at the start of last year after winning in the Explosive category of World Demolition Awards in 2017.
