Bought to improve the safety of workers inspecting bridges and carrying out structural work in the Philippines, the Barin ABC110/L is shown inspecting the Lasang Bridge in Davao Province.

The Department of Public Works and Highways, based in Davao City in the Philippines, took delivery of an Italian, Barin ABC 110/L under bridge inspection unit in March 2008.

The machine was bought under the technical cooperation project with the Japan International Cooperation Agency for the improvement of quality management for highway and bridge construction and maintenance in The Republic of Philippines.

Purchased to improve the safety of workers inspecting bridges and carrying out structural work, the ABC110/L is shown inspecting the Lasang Bridge in Davao Province.

The ABC 110/L occupies just one lane in the road both when working and in transport position. It offers horizontal outreach under the bridge of 11 m and a maximum vertical depth under the bridge of 6.6 m. The platform is 1.05 m wide and can carry a load of 500 kg. The inspection unit is mounted on a Mercedes Benz 1524 L 4x2 truck chassis manufactured in Germany.
