The MacGregor division of Cargotec has received an order worth around Euro 25 million for 96 cargo handling cranes.

They will go on 24 bulk carriers on order at ABG Shipyard Ltd in India for Asian and European owners. Deliveries are due to start at the end of 2009 and continue until 2013.

Each vessel includes four 30 tonne capacity GLB3026-2 cranes.

"This is a significant order for MacGregor. We were able to offer the shipyard an effective crane design that met the vessels' cargo-handling needs. This, along with the consistent support from our local offices in India and Singapore during the negotiation phase, made us successful," said Paul Söderstedt, macGregor sales manager.
