China railway in US$ 3 billion contract wins

Chinese state-owned contractor China Railway Construction has won three new domestic contracts worth CNY 19.5 billion (US$ 3.1 billion) for housing, commercial and earthmoving projects.

The company said recent wins included a CNY 8 billion (US$ 1.3 billion) earthmoving contract for Shanxi Huarui Jiewang Coal won by its subsidiary China Railway 12th Bureau Group. It said the project was scheduled to take 10 years to complete.

Meanwhile, China Railway also won a CNY 7.5 billion (US$ 1.2 billion) contract in partnership with Beijing Ruixin Antai Entrepreneurship & Investment for the construction of the Beijing Cultural Silicon Valley - a project to develop meeting, exhibition and performance venues that is planned to occupy an area of 370000 m2.

China Railway 25th Bureau Group Construction & Installation Engineering, another subsidiary of China Railway, also won a CNY 4 billion (US$ 626 million) contract for a housing project in Dalongwan, Sihui City, in Guangdong Province.
