500 t copper converters are now transported to special service stations via Kamag’s Type 3800 industrial lift transporter

The copper converters weigh around 500 tonnes each and require regular maintenance. In the past Aurubis serviced the copper converters at their workstations, which led to long periods of downtime as well as loss of production, Kamag explained. Now, with Kamag’s new Type 3800 industrial lift transporter, the copper converters can be transported to special service stations. According to Kamag, this helps Aurubis streamline the servicing of the modules improving efficiency, safety, and working conditions for maintenance teams.
