Crowland named UK distributor for Rim Wizard

UK crane sales, hire, servicing and parts company Crowland Cranes has been appointed sole UK distributor for the Rim Wizard product range. Rim Wizard Oy is a Finnish company that makes a system designed to quickly and easily remove stuck wheels from mobile cranes, trucks and trailers.

The portable, patented Rim Wizard system is suitable for a range of wheel sizes and for use on cranes from a number of different manufacturers including Liebherr, Demag, Grove, Terex, Tadano Faun and PPM.

Rim Wizard and Crowland Cranes will be showcasing the Rim Wizard range at the forthcoming Vertikal Days lifting equipment trade show at Donington Park, Leicestershire, UK, on 16–17 May.

Commenting on the new distribution agreement Crowland Cranes managing director Peter Issitt said, “Crowland Cranes have used and tested the Rim Wizard wheel removal tools for almost six month in our service department. It has proven to be an invaluable tool for any service/crane hirer. Until this product was released the only proven method for wheel rim removal within our industry was ‘brute force’ and using hydraulic press gear, both of which incur additional time, labour and major safety issues for the typical problem of seized wheel rims to hubs. We are proud to be nominated as UK sole distributor for the Rim Wizard and look forward to demonstrating the product at Vertikal Days.”
