Epiroc adds new bucket screener range

Germany-based manufacturer Epiroc Hydraulic Attachment Tools has expanded its portfolio with a range of bucket screeners.

The manufacturer said the BS 1600 and BS 2200 bucket screeners combine both modern design and sturdy construction. With service weights of 1,710 kg (3,770 lb) for the BS 1600 and 2,450 kg (5,400 lb) for the BS 2200, it said the new range would bring an even more complete solution to recycling industry customers.

Gordon Hambach, global marketing manager, said: “The demands on our customers are constantly increasing and we are happy to now extend our offer with a product that we know will help them save time and make money. Sorting material on site really increases efficiency and the new Epiroc bucket screeners are as reliable and fast as they come.”

The attachments are moved by hydraulic power transmitted via a timing belt, which does not require tensioning. Epiroc said this reliable transmission solution delivers optimum torque and reduces maintenance time.

Gordon said: “The large diameter of the main roller bearing enables us to fit a much longer basket, compared to other screeners on the market.

“The bigger screening area gives significant increase in performance and ensures high quality output.”

The baskets also feature a polygonal design with 12 sides rather than a smooth rounded surface. The manufacturer said the shape enables material to be shaken in a way that speeds up the screening process. Suitable for carriers between 18 and 38 t, the new bucket screeners are available in two sizes and, depending on customers’ requirements, baskets with different mesh size openings are available.
