50 years of evolution - FRD's breaker ranges over the years

The FRD division was founded in 1961 in order to start marketing products in the rest of the world that until that time had been produced for Furukawa's own use. Since then, far more than 150.000 hydraulic breakers have been produced and marketed worldwide. As part of the celebrations, FRD had breakers from the first to the latest generation on its stand at the show.

Through the continuous developments and experience of more than 50 years, FRD offers a full range of hydraulic breakers, suitable for all kinds of excavators, with its product offering currently made up of the XP range. Optimised material usage with a constant power to weight ratio results in the highest performance, says FRD. A newly developed damping system minimises the vibrations transmitted to the excavator and minimises adverse effects on the operator considerably. In conjunction with a newly developed frame, a reduction of the sound power level of 6 dB(A) has been achieved. The XP-Series breakers range in operating weight from 840-6,500 kg (1,848-14,300 lb) and are suitable for excavators weighing from 10-100 tonnes.
