Freire becomes president of Terex Latin America

Andre Freire has been promoted to the position of president Latin America for Terex Corp.

Mr Freire, who has been with Terex for over nine years, was previously in charge of Terex’s aerial work platform operations throughout Latin America and was most recently leading the integration of Terex’s divisions in Latin America.

Steve Filipov, president, developing markets and strategic accounts, said Mr Freire “will be responsible for representing Terex in Latin America, including South America, Central America, Mexico, and the Caribbean, and to also to establish and nurture relationships with government agencies, key customers, dealers and financial institutions, as well as the regional press.”

Terex Latin America is responsible for sales of aerial work platforms, cranes, compact construction equipment and, since January this year, heavy construction equipment. Mr Filipov said Mr Freire would also “also support the efforts to establishing local manufacturing facilities to serve the regional market through acquisitions or Greenfield operations.”

Mr Freire will continue in his role as head of aerial platform sales in Latin America until a replacement is appointed.
