Industrial Access Systems' new Multitel SMX225

Industrial Access Systems has added a second Multitel SMX225 to its fleet, after purchasing the new platform from Multitel's UK dealer Access Industries.

The Glasgow-based access rental firm had the new platform delivered to a jobsite within hours of taking delivery.

The platform offers a working height of 22.5m and an outreach of 10.2m, and gives 90deg each way cage rotation. Weighing just 2.5t, the SMX225 can be transported on a standard trailer pulled by any vehicle with a towing capacity of 3.1t.

According to John Wilson, managing director of Industrial Access Systems, the SMX225's ease of transport and manoeuvrability on site were key factors in the purchasing decision.
