Link-Belt RTC-8080 Series II

Crane manufacturer Link-Belt will show the 80 US ton (75 tonne) capacity RTC-8080 Series II rough terrain crane at the 2014 ConExpo show in Las Vegas, USA, from 4 to 8 March.

New features on the RTC-8080 Series II include a remote controlled high intensity boom floodlight, a standard camera package and aluminium decking. Customers can also choose to have Tier 4 Final / EU Stage IV compliant engine or a Tier III engine fitted. Both versions of the engine are 270 hp Cummins QSB 6.7L.

The crane has a 12.5 to 38.7 metre four section boom and there is the confined area lifting capacity (CALC) system that allows for three different outrigger positions (fully extended, intermediate and fully retracted). It also has Link-Belt Pulse, a crane operating system that can also read more than twenty crane diagnostics parameters, including rated capacity limiter, wind speed, boom length and angle, and the load radius.
