Locatelli lifts capacity with two new rough terrains

19 April 2012

Italy-based Locatelli has introduced a 65 tonne rough terrain crane and promises to launch a 75 tonne model by the end of the year.

The 65 tonne 8700T is the largest in the manufacturer's range and follows the company's acquisition by Remasol Engineering last year, which specialises in winches for offshore oil pipeline placement. The pair will benefit from each other's technologies with Remasol looking to introduce telescopic booms in the future.

Locatelli said a 100 tonne rough terrain would follow after the 75 tonne 8800T model.
