California-based manufacturer MEC Aerial Work Platforms has announced an update to its Micro 19 scissor lift.

The MEC Micro 19 fits on most elevators and into tight work areas.

According to the firm, the new version comes with fixed rails that fit through standard doorways and lower stowed platform height entry and exit.

MEC has reduced the overall height to 1.99m to meet the taller guardrail regulation of 1.1m.

Gary Crook, VP of engineering, said, “MEC stays true to our mission of A Better Solution in everything we do and there’s nothing simpler than fixed guardrails that need no folding at all when transitioning between rooms.

“Now there is a machine that has the Micro footprint the industry has come to specify by choice with the simplicity of fixed guardrails.”

It is powered by a maintenance-free 24v AGM battery pack and incorporates fully proportional drive and lift controls and up to 25% gradeability.
