What effect did the volcanic eruptions in Iceland, and ensuing travel problems have on your business

What effect did the volcanic eruptions in Iceland, and ensuing travel problems have on your business?

In May CE asked survey respondents how much impact the ash cloud from Iceland's Eyjafjallajökull volcano had on their businesses.

More than half of our respondents said there had been some impact on their businesses, but 26% of the people who answered the question said it had just been inconvenient. A higher proportion - 30% said they had suffered inconvenience and there had been some cost to their business as well.

In an anecdote that rang true with CE's own staff, one respondent told us, "We travelled 1900 km/24 hours to Bauma by car instead of flying."
