Remanufacturing gets Deere

By Steve Skinner07 January 2009

John Deere acquired full ownership of Regen Technologies in November, a remanufacturing company located in Missouri, US that was already 50% owned by Deere.
Regen was founded in 1998 to remanufacture engines for John Deere products and has broadened its product line since to include other engine components, fuel injection systems, starters, alternators and other key components for John Deere construction and agricultural customers in Europe and around the world.
“Regen has delivered impressive business results through a dedication to quality and ingenuity,” said Barry Schaffter, senior vice president of manufacturing for John Deere’s construction and forestry division. “The remanufacturing business is important to Deere because of the environmental benefit that comes from recycling components of heavy equipment.”
