My Rock Tools Analyze

Damaged or worn rock tools can now be analysed remotely

Rock tools specialist Sandvik has launched a new mobile app which allows the company to remotely conduct failure and discard analysis of customers’ equipment.

Sandvik said the new solution – My Rock Tools Analyze – will help its customers improve the performance of their equipment.

According to the company, the app, which is available on iOS and Android platforms, is easy to set up and use – requiring just a few key details about the product and a number of photographic images of the worn elements, which are then sent to Sandvik for analysis.

Charles Macfadyen of Sandvik’s Digital Solutions, Rock Tools Division, said, “A big part of Sandvik’s DNA is continuous improvement in close collaboration with our customers, and My Rock Tools Analyze does precisely that, in a user friendly, fast and remote way. We truly believe that this will help our customers and us both in the short and long term.”
