Stainless steel at PXPumps

PXPumps says its entire range of submersible wastewater pumps-from the smallest PX1 to the largest PX4 -can now be supplied in grade AISI316 stainless steel.

The Danish manufacturer says the benefit of stainless steel is its resistant to wear and to corrosion, making it “particularly interesting to use in rough and severe environments where a regular pump has a short lifetime.” The pumps will be ideal for pumping liquids and sludge with a pH range of 1-10 from locations such as acid mines, for drainage works at utilities and also where liquids contain chemicals.

PX Pumps says the stainless steel range shares the user-friendly features of its standard pumps, including the use of vortex and channel impellers in the same volute; an adjustable wear ring; motors up to 100 kW; and capacities of up to 85 m head and 550 l/sec. Pumps are also available for both 50 and 60 Hz power sources and in voltages from 200 to 1000.

Meanwhile, the company has been making changes to its international dealer network. In June it established a US company, PXPumps-USA LLC, based near Orlando in Florida. The new company replaces Fischer Global Enterprises, which had been representing PX for the past years.

Earlier this year it appointed the BF Group Pty in Melbourne as its new national distributor for Australia, replacing Allight Pty in Perth, which is now focusing on lighting towers and generator sets.
