Terex Finlay will use the forthcoming Steinexpo event in Germany to unveil its new 684 tracked inclined triple deck screen.

According to the company, the 684 is a compact and easily transportable machine that can be quickly set up or configured for transport. Its new screen box has three full size decks, 4.3 m x 1.7 m (14 x 5.7 ft), that provides a total screening area of 22 square metres (236 square feet). It features rapid wedge tensioning, access holes and bottom deck hydraulic tensioning system to reduce the time required for mesh changes. The four discharge conveyors are adjustable and fold hydraulically for transport.

The 684 weighs in at 30.4 tonnes and is powered by a Cat Tier 4/Stage IIIB C4.4 engine developing 82 kW (111 hp) - it is also available with a Tier 3/Stage III 4.4 unit delivering 83 kW (113 hp).

In transport configuration, the new machine is 17.2 m (56.5 ft) long by 3 m (9.8 ft) wide. In working mode, it is 18.5 m (60.7 ft) long and 17 m (55.7 ft) wide.
