Third CATLA conference in Brazil

17 September 2014

The third International Cranes & Transport Latin America (CATLA) conference will be held in São Paulo, Brazil on 8 June 2015, the day before the important M&T Expo exhibition.

The event, organised by KHL and International Cranes and Specialized Transport (IC) magazine and to be held at the Renaissance São Paulo Hotel near the city centre, will be a high-level forum for Latin America’s growing crane and heavy transport sector.

Companies and individuals who would like to propose speakers and topics for the conference should contact Alex Dahm, editor of IC, by e-mail: alex.dahm@khl.com or Tel: +44 (0)1892 786206.

Two speakers are already confirmed for the event:

Ton Bakker (director, Roll-Lift Latin America) who will talk about the trend towards the modularisation of plants in São Paulo.

Wilson de Mello Jr (certification and human development director, Sobratema) will consider progress in operator certification programmes in Brazil.

The conference will build on the two previous CATLA events, in May 2012 and June 2013, which attracted around 200 delegates from all over the region.

The conference will focus on current market conditions in the region, innovative use of cranes, technical developments in cranes and transport, as well as papers on technical and safety topics.

The event again has the support of industry associations, including Sobratema, Sindipesa and Associpesa.
