The L350H wheeled loader unveiled at ConExpo in Las Vegas, US, by Volvo Construction Equipment is said to deliver greater productivity, with a 10% improvement in fuel efficiency compared to the L350F it has replaced.

The largest model in the Volvo wheeled loader range, it comes with new powertrain, hydraulics and operator environment, as well as a new overall design.

The L350H is powered by a Tier 4 Final D16J engine, which claims high torque at low rpm and, coupled with next-generation load-sensing hydraulics, is said to mean 5% faster cycle times.

Productivity is also said to be enhanced by the higher capacity 7.3m3 rock bucket.

Volvo said its fully automatic power shift (FAPS) system enabled the machine to operate in the most fuel-efficient gear, with the eco-pedal – which can be overridden when necessary – automatically keeping the machine working within a fuel-efficient range.

Incorporating the latest developments in intelligent human machine interface (HMI), the new operator environment provides automatic climate control (ACC) and a next-generation Contronic monitoring system with digital display. The system monitors operation and performance in real-time, providing the operator with all necessary machine information, said Volvo.
