Volvo completes breaker line

By Lindsay Gale19 March 2008

Volvo has added six new breakers to its HB series of low noise and vibration hydraulic breakers, designed for use with the company's compact equipment. The HB100, HB150, HB200, HB300, HB440 (for backhoes) and HB450 range in weight from 105 kg (231 lb) through to 450 kg (990 lb) and are designed for use with the company's compact machines ranging in weight from 1.5 to 9 tonne machines.

These new attachments offer low noise and vibration levels, allowing them to be used indoors or in noise sensitive environments. The HB200, HB300 and HB450 can also be operated in water.

Designed for robustness, the breakers feature a robust heavy duty casing that can be quickly removed for servicing. Low and high pressure accumulators control the piston so its recoil energy is absorbed and recycled to increase force on the power stroke.
