WDS speaker doubles up at ESTAs

Italian heavy lifting specialist Fagioli, which will be among the companies presenting at this year’s World Demolition Summit (WDS) in November, has received two awards at the ESTAs, which recognise excellence in Europe’s cranes and specialised transport sector.

Fagioli, which helped demolish the Morandi Bridge in Genoa, was also involved in the construction of its replacement

They included the Combined Techniques award for using both specialised transport and lifting on the demolition of the Morandi Bridge in Genoa – the very project that business development manager Andrea Gazzola will speak about at the online WDS on 12 November.

Fagioli also took first prize in the SPMT (self propelled modular transporter) category, meaning it won 20% of the available categories at the prestigious industry awards
