Access Photograph of the Year entry deadline extended

The deadline for entries to the Access Photograph of the Year award has been extended to Monday 9 February 2015.

The photography competition is part of the International Awards for Powered Access (IAPAs), which takes place in Washington, DC, USA, on 26 March this year.

Sponsored by the UK’s Facelift Hire, which will donate a €1000 (US$1135) prize, the judges are looking for a spectacular shot of access equipment in use/or highlighting an important aspect of safety or productivity.

Alll other IAPA awards categories are now closed for entries.

The world's most prestigious access industry awards ceremony, now in its seventh year, will be held on the same day as the IPAF Summit at the Crystal Gateway Marriott Hotel, near Washington, DC.

A number of speakers have been announced for the IPAF Summit, with more to follow. Frank Nerenhausen, president of JLG will provide the keynote speech, focusing on emerging technologies and their potential application in the access industry under the title “Gimmicks or the Next Reality”.

Jordan Barab, deputy assistant secretary at the US Department of Labor, and responsible for OSHA, will also speak along with Norty Turner, CEO of Riwal, Sibel Aygul, sales manager at Turkish manufacturer UP Makine and Stefan Ponea, owner of Industrial Access in Romania. While Dave Eberly, managing principal, Ducker USA and Audrey Courant, principal, Ducker France will provide additional insights.

Jointly organised by KHL’s Access International and the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF), the IAPAs celebrate best practice and excellence in the powered access industry, attracting audiences of around 450 each year.

The IPAF Summit conference attracts senior representatives from the worldwide access industry to discuss and debate the latest technical, safety and business developments in the sector. The theme of the 2015 Summit is “New Technologies and New Markets”.

The conference will be held in English, with simultaneous translation into Spanish. Attendance at the IPAF Summit conference is free.
