AFG wins Statoil contract

Norway's AF Group (AFG) will supply six wireline cranes to Statoil ASA in a contract worth more than NOK 60 million (US$ 9.8 million).

AFG will deliver the cranes to two platforms in the Statfjord oil field, based in the Norwegian North Sea. Two cranes will be delivered to the Statfjord C platform, while four cranes will go to the Statfjord B platform.The cranes will come with hydraulic power units and adapted base sections.

Construction of the oil field will start in August 2012 with completion in February 2014.
