AFI recently rented out two of its largest powered access machines to install branding graphics at Twickenham Stadium, the home of England Rugby.

Service Graphics hired a Genie Z135/70 boom lift and a Holland Lift Megastar G-320 scissor lift from AFI on a four-week contract at the 82,000-seat stadium.

Service Graphics used the Megastar scissor lift to install branding measuring 33m x 5.3m on four columns on the outside of the stadium. The company used the Z135/70 boom lift to fit the aluminum panels to 53 concrete columns.

“The Megastar, with its extendable platform deck, was ideal for the huge graphics that needed to be carried in its platform, and the Genie’s articulating boom and telescopic jib gave us easy access for installing the aluminum panels,” said Service Graphics projects manager Giles Davies.

The Genie Z-135/70 has a working height of 43.15 m, and the Holland Lift Megastar G-320 has a working height of 33.7 m and a platform length of 10.02 m when extended.
