AFI wins gold
04 June 2015
UK-based AFI has gained a Gold award in the RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards 2015.
David Rawlins, RoSPA’s awards manager, said, “The RoSPA Awards encourage improvement in occupational health and safety management. Organisations that gain recognition for their health & safety management systems, such as AFI, contribute to raising standards overall and we congratulate them.”
Nigel Stevens, AFI health, safety, environment & quality manager, said, “We are delighted to have gained Gold in these prestigious awards. It’s a great achievement and highlights our continuing commitment to maintaining the highest standards of health & safety at all levels of the company.”
The RoSPA Awards recognise commitment to continuous improvement in accident and ill health prevention at work. Through the scheme, which is open to businesses and organisations of all types and sizes from across the UK and overseas, judges consider entrants’ overarching occupational health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.
The RoSPA award follows AFI’s International Safety Award with Merit from the British Safety Council earlier this year.
