Temporary power rental company Aggreko has expanded in the UK with the acquisition of Golden Triangle Generators (GTG), which is active in the northwest of England.

Aggreko said GTG provided rental power to customers throughout Merseyside, Cheshire and North Wales in the utility sector as well critical power to events and festivals and a wide variety of local industries.

Dan Ibbetson, managing director of Aggreko UK, said, “During 26 years of operations, GTG has developed a loyal customer base throughout the northwest of England and North Wales.

"Their reputation for delivering a high-quality product via an experienced and professional team makes GTG a natural fit with Aggreko.

“GTG maintains very close relationships with its customers and are well known for delivering excellent customer service. They run a high-quality fleet and employ a strong team throughout their operations.”

Mr Ibbetson addded, “Aggreko operates throughout the UK via an established network of 18 service centres. The northwest is an area identified as a key growth area in our development strategy.

“The reputation and customer network GTG has built across the region offers Aggreko a solid foundation from which to further develop our business.”
