Bison Palfinger's Swiss dealer, Rosenbauer AG, showed at the Suisse Public exhibition in Berne towards the end of June a 28 m working height Bison TKA-28-KS-F unit configured for fire fighting use. Erwin Mueller, Rosenbauer's sales and marketing manager, told AI that the 28 m fire fighting units will provide an alternative to the many towed ladder fire platforms still operating in Switzerland at a considerably lower price than equivalent units from other fire platform specialists. Mr Mueller said the machine would also be of interest for utility applications such as tree trimming and road light maintenance.
