This Steiger TB 220, one of the recent new platforms to come from Germany's Ruthmann, is a 22.1 m maximum height, 14.0 m outreach model mounted on a 3.5 t truck and offering one sided jacking. It's jacks can also be set inside the width of the machine, making it ideal for use in tight spots. Ten of the new models have already been ordered by Germany rental company Gardemann Arbeitsbuhnen. Ruthmann is in the process of updating its range of platforms, with the T 370 launched last Autumn, and T 180, T 220 and T270 models also available. In addition to the TB 220 there is a smaller TB 180 version. The T 450 model is likely to come out later this year and an even larger model - probably in the mid-50 m height range - will be introduced in 2007.
