Ainscough's Liebherr crane lifts the mast and boom into position on an 88ft luxury private yacht in Southampton.

Ainscough Crane Hire in the UK used a 90 tonne capacity Liebherr all terrain crane when tasked with the job of assisting with the completion of an 88 foot (27 metre) luxury private yacht, owned by Formula 1 star Eddie Jordan.

The Liebherr crane was used to lift the 38 m, 3 tonne mast and the 1 tonne boom above the vessel, built by Oyster Yacht. The lift was carried out at MDL Ocean Village Marina, Southampton, with the crane positioned on a concrete berth just off the marina to provide easy access to the craft.

The luxury vessel made an appearance at the Southampton Boat Show. Ainscough Crane Hire assisted with the final alterations to the mast set-up, ensuring the best positioning for speed.
