Finland-based Ajutech has launched two rotary drum crushers for use with excavators, which it said will allow contractors to crush demolition and concrete waste effectively and economically.

The new models are the VPH 21 – a one-drum version for 20 to 30 t excavator classes and the VPV 22 two-drum version for excavators weighing more than 30 t.

Typical applications are on demolition sites crushing mixed waste materials such as concrete, bricks, tarmac and limestone.

The company’s Viper branded screening buckets have gained market share in Europe in screening top soil, demolition waste, trench filling and difficult moist materials.

However, large mobile crushers need heavy transportation vehicles and are often not practical in limited spaces.

Now the Viper powerful crushing bucket attachment has answered the need for lightweight crushers to be moved and used together with the excavators as base machines.

Ajutech said that the Nordic countries’ way of using various attachments with the base excavators is spreading. This allows the excavator to be operated to its maximum and downtime to be minimised just by changing the attachments.

In addition, only one operator is needed to do several jobs.
