Aksa acquires Spanish genset manufacturer

Turkey-based power specialists Aksa Power Generation Europe has acquired a majority share in Spanish genset manufacturer Dagartech. No financial details have been disclosed. 

Founded in 2015 and headquartred in Zaragoza, Dagartech manufactures a range of generators, including its Industrial, Balance Stand-by, Rental Plus, Portable and High Power units.

The company also offers customisable generators as part of its services.

Aksa said the purchase is part of its global growth strategy, with the aim of expanding its capacity and volume.

The company also said the deal will allow it to offer the global power generation market “high-quality, customised energy solutions and commit to develop reliable and sustainable high-value-added solutions.”

A statement on Dagartech’s social media said the transaction marks “the beginning of a business partnership aimed at creating opportunities for mutual growth and synergies to expand our presence in the market.”

Following the acquisition, both companies will continue operating under their respective brands..
