Crane rental company Auto-Kran-Vermietung (AKV) in Zweibrücken, Germany, has added a new 70 tonne all terrain crane to its fleet.

AKV owner, Günter Hüther, took delivery of the four axle Liebherr LTM 1070-4.2 at the manufacturer's Ehingen factory in Germany in May. Hüther, also a crane driver, ordered the optional radio remote control, which can operate all crane motions from outside the cab. It means that the driver can do his own slinging and get a better view of the load. At 12 tonnes per axle the LTM 1070-4.2 includes 10.2 tonnes of counterweight and a bi-fold jib.

AKV has been offering crane rental, specialized transport and aerial work platforms for more than 12 years.
