ALE signs partnership deal in China

Heavy lift and transport specialist ALE has signed a strategic co-operation agreement with KFNE, the Shanghai Kangfu Nuclear Energy Machinery Co. in China.

As one of China’s biggest lifting operators and equipment suppliers in the country’s nuclear industry, this agreement with KFNE will enable UK-headquartered ALE to move into the Chinese nuclear power market.

In October during the signing ceremony, Wei Hua of KFNE and ALE signed the co-operation agreement. It was attended by members of the KFNE, ALE and SNPTC (a parent company of KFNE), where its vice president, Yan Jia Peng, attended and made a speech.

Yannick Sel, ALE senior sales manager in the Global Projects Division, said, “This mutually beneficial deal is an effective step in progressing our business development not only in the Chinese nuclear power sector, but also for work in other fields globally. By working together, both parties are better positioned to serve our clients in this industry.”

Song Jie, KFNE deputy general manager, added, “ALE’s global reputation and experience will be coupled with KFNE, a professional heavylift and transportation company established by SNPTC of China, which occupies more than a third of the nuclear power market share in China.

“The co-operation between these two parties will bring top mechanical construction solutions to customers in the nuclear power construction market not only in China, but also around the world. This will also levitate the market share, brand influence and core competence of both parties to a new level.”

ALE has steadily been growing its presence in China, setting up an office in Tianjin in 2015.
