Algeco Scotsman has appointed Tom Kloster as its new chief financial officer (CFO), replacing previous CFO Tim Stonefiser.

Mr Kloster comes from Primus Telecommunications Group, a $1 billion company, where he was CFO. Before that he held positions at Sprint and MCI and spent 10 years at Ernst & Young and PriceWaterhouseCoopers.

In his new post he will have responsibility for implementing selected Algeco Scotsman strategic initiatives and strengthening the global finance organisation.

"Tom's expertise, specifically with multi-national organizations, makes him a valued addition to the Algeco Scotsman leadership team," said Duncan Gillis, Algeco's CEO.

Algeco Scotsman rents modular space and storage in North America (where it is known as Williams Scotsman), continental Europe (as Algeco) and the UK (Elliott). It also rents in the Middle East.
