Around 500,000 people visited the Baum exhibition in Munich, Germany, over seven days at the end of April, making it the biggest Bauma show ever and the best attended construction exhibition of all time. One of the startling statistics about the show was the number of visitors from outside of Germany – a remarkable 160,000, 35% up on the previous event in 2004. Bauma is one of three major international shows held on a three year cycle – next year it is the US's turn again with the Conexpo–Con/Agg event in Las Vegas.
