Sweden-based Alimak Group has finalised the acquisition of the leading global building maintenance unit (BMU) provider Facade Access Group.

Facade Access Group has a global market leading position in permanent Building Maintenance Units with two brands; CoxGomyl and Manntech.

"Through this acquisition Alimak Group continues to strengthen and broaden the product portfolio, expands the existing footprint and business into a global adjacent niche market within vertical access while benefitting from a healthy underlying growth in the BMU market," said the manufacturer in a statement.

Facade Access Group´s net sales amounted to SEK 1,044 million (US$ 115.4 million) in 2016, and has production facilities in Spain, Germany and the Netherlands. The business operation will be consolidated as of 1 March, 2017.
