Alimak wins orders in emerging markets

Alimak Group has received several orders for construction hoists and work platforms in Turkey, Algeria and Saudi Arabia. The total order value was SEK10 million (€1.1 million).

The company said the new orders would be delivered to construction and rental companies during the first and second quarter of 2016. Alimak added that it was expanding its network around the world, and had established new sales and service distributors in Algeria, Kenya and Lebanon during 2015.

As of December 23, 2015, Alimak said it had had 22 own sales offices and more than 60 distributors across the world.

Fredrik Betts, executive vice president and head of business area construction equipment, said, “We are expanding our sales and service network to take advantage of the high interest in Alimak’s safe and efficient vertical access solutions.

"We see increased demand for our mid-market offering in emerging markets in Asia, Middle East, Africa and parts of South America based on our strong brand and attractive product portfolio.”
