ALL Erection & Crane Rental adds 50 JLG telehandlers to fleet

28 March 2013

ALL Erection & Crane Rental Corp. has purchased 50 new JLG telehandlers to serve its continental fleet, the company reported. The new units, which include more than 30 high-capacity telehandlers, will be delivered in groups of approximately 17 at a time every three months. The ALL Family of Companies has 34 branches spread strategically across its North American footprint, and the new telehandlers will be distributed among the branches to support immediate local needs, including daily rentals and major projects calling for longer-term rentals.
Each delivery group will include (10) JLG G10-55A telehandlers with 10,000-pound (4,536-kg) carrying capacity; (3) G12-55A telehandlers with 12,000-pound (5,443-kg) capacity; and (4) SkyTrak telehandlers. SkyTrak models include (2) model 8042 telehandlers with 8,000-pound (3,629-kg) carrying capacity and 42-feet (12.8-m) maximum lift height and (2) model 10054 units with 10,000-pound (4,536-kg) carrying capacity and 53-foot, 2-inch (16.21-m) maximum lift height. Both the JLG G10-55A and the JLG G12-55A have a maximum lift height of up to 55 feet (16.8 m).
All of these units, particularly JLG’s 10,000- and 12,000-pound capacity models, reflect the huge changes in the telehandler industry in the past decade, the company said.
“The new larger telehandlers are now becoming standard fixtures on major construction sites," said JLG spokesperson Steve Handley. "They are truly all-purpose machines that can pick and carry loads and extend their booms like larger cranes, so they are much-used companions to the larger cranes on almost every construction site.”
Michael Liptak, president of the ALL Erection & Crane Rental Family of Companies, said, “This new generation of telehandlers helps complete our offering to crane rental customers. We are known as a leader for lift equipment of all kinds, and demand dictates that we replenish our fleet constantly. Major projects — particularly those thick with large-capacity ATs, RTs, and crawlers — call for telehandlers, and this purchase will go a long way toward meeting that demand.”
