All eyes on Shanghai

The line-up for the 4th International Rental Conference (IRC) Asia is very strong, with a host of senior figures from the global rental and construction equipment industry scheduled to address attendees.

The conference, organised by International Rental News (IRN) and KHL Group, is being held on Monday 21 November at the Double Tree Hilton in Shanghai, close to the venue for the Bauma China exhibition, which opens the following day on 22 November.

Speakers include Bill Whitehouse, COO of Australian rental company Kennards Group; Gary McArdle, executive vice president and COO of business intelligence company Rouse Services; and Fei Xiaodong, vice general manager and sales and operations director Jiangsu Xugong Guanglian Machinery Rental.

Matt Fearon, president of manufacturer Terex AWP/Genie USA will also address delegates; as will Cyril Drouin, chief e-commerce officer for Greater China at Saatchi & Saatchi.

Attendees will also hear presentations from Xavier du Boÿs, CEO of French rental company Kiloutou; as well as David Phillips, managing director, and Karin Sun, senior consultant, at Off-Highway Research.

Desmond Soh, vice president and general manager of Asia at manufacturer JLG Industries will also speak at IRC, as will Riwal CEO Norty Turner; and Khun Tan, the founder and chief executive of Guangzhou Liluo Mechanical Equipment Leasing.

As well as presentations from these industry figures, the event will offer a range of networking opportunities and question and answer sessions.

The event is supported by Bauma China, IPAF and the Machinery Management and Rental division of the Chinese Construction Industry Association (CCIA). Around 300 delegates from across the industry are set to attend to hear the latest forecasts and news from the rental industry.
